Our very own Inuksuk- these rock forms- are found EVERYWHERE in Iqaluit. Originally used by the first ancestors to display human occupation- or that a group of people had gone along that particular route. There are many different kinds of these rock made statues but this one in particular represents man. Others give reference to hunting, spiritual guides or navigation. We all helped build this Inuksuk to show that we were there :)
